Meltech Engineering announces
Continuous Rotary Extrusion Line
range
One-stop
shop for Confex Rotary Non-ferrous
Extrusion Production
Line
Wire processing
specialist, Meltech Engineering
Ltd is
now offering complete Continuous
Rotary Extrusion lines for
wire and tube production.
The Confex rotary extruder,
in
conjunction with Meltech
pre and post processing ancillary
equipment, enables the production
of high quality copper, aluminium
and alloy solid and hollow
section for a wide range
of
applications.
Continuous
Rotary Extrusion is ideal for
the continuous
extrusion of wire, magnet wire
and strip for transformers,
busbar and lightning conductors.
Meltech is providing manufacturers
with a one-stop shop for the
design and implementation of
highly efficient production
lines ensuring cleaning, feeding,
cooling, take up and coiling
operations are fully optimised.
Meltech
has an exclusive marketing
and manufacturing agreement
with Confex Technology Ltd
for the supply of the rotary
extruder. In addition it
is offering an integrated package
of customer care and training
programmes, including spares
and servicing for the Confex
rotary extruder and ancillary
equipment. "In comparison
to conventional non ferrous
extrusion
processes,
Confex rotary extrusion lines
are much more flexible, compact
and efficient”, says
Peter Drever, sales director,
Meltech Engineering Ltd. “We
have worked closely with Confex
Technology on supplying ancillary
equipment for a number of successful
rotary extrusion lines.”
David Godwin,
managing director, Confex Technology
Ltd commented, "The
Confex rotary extruder is designed
such that it can be readily
customised to meet customer’s
requirements. Working with
Meltech takes this a stage
further by offering manufacturers
with complete and customised
production lines that will
create more opportunities for
rotary extrusion in wire and
tube industries.”
Confex
rotary extruders are available
with extrusion wheel
diameters from less than
300 mm to more than 500 mm
with
fitted power from 75 kW to
575 kW. A typical extruder
for solid aluminium conductor
would have an extrusion wheel
diameter of 310 mm, fitted
power of 150 kW and a maximum
wheel speed of 40 rpm. Two
feed rods each of 9.5 mm
diameter would be used to extrude
the
solid aluminium conductor
at up to 800 kgs/hr.
